December brings a changing of the guard somewhat for Dallas Drone Racing chapter. Because we are a chartered AMA club we therefore maintain a group of officers to help guide the club. These officers volunteer their time and work hard to plan and execute these great run races we all enjoy. Often those that aspire to be officers make family and work sacrifices to keep everything running smoothly and therefore are not to be taken lightly. Additionally they often put their own participation in the race on hold to make sure our races run smoothly.
David Mills has been running timing and format for pretty much every race since our merger in 2018 so it was an easy selection for him to finally get the title he deserves. Dallas Drone Racing would not be where it is today without his time and effort day in and day out. Jay McKibben will be moving to Vice President and focusing on outreach and club growth. Trent Tharp will be handling the clubs finances, Kevin Hannush will be using his USMC attention to detail for our secretary duties and Casey Quadaholic Reeves will enjoy his second year in a row as Safety Officer, (it’s the long legs)
Please take the time to congratulate them and more importantly thank them for their tireless service. We are blessed by their dedication to the club and drone racing overall.
