DDR’s own Jay McKibben recently attended the Aerial Robotics Showcase put on by Fort Worth ISD. Jay stated that “It was amazing to be in an auditorium full of kids excited about drones and the opportunities that lay ahead in the UAV/UAS industry.”
The North Central Texas (NCTX) Aerial Robotics STEM Initiative organized the North Central Texas Aerial Robotics Showcase this event calling it the Game of Drones.
About NCTX
NCTX is a regional network made up of educators and employers to encourage and establish Aerial Robotics STEM pathways. Bell, Tarrant Community College District, Tarrant County Workforce, and Interlink collaborated as Industry partners to encourage kids and support their fascination with drones.
The NCTX Aerial Robotics Collaborative was awarded a TEA grant to establish the Texas Regional Pathways Network (TRPN). The event provided students the opportunity to provide demonstrations in the Region 11 districts.

Events like this provide encourage the development of curriculum, create processes to advance professional development and allows students increase their knowledge and skills in the drone industry.
