With the recent poll we recently posted on our Facebook group, It seems to be a good time to post an official “DDR position” on the DJI FPV system and HD racing in general
The MAIN reason Dallas Drone Racing has not included this new tech into our events is because there is no way for us to tune in and watch a pilot’s video feed. We need to be able to do this to make sure gates and flags are not being missed or skipped and the track is being flown in the way it was intended. Although every race does not result in an award, when money and prizes are on the line, the ability to record, rewind, review pilot’s video feed is required.
With that being said, we don’t want to exclude anyone either and therefore that is the reasoning behind the poll posted. If there are enough people wanting to use that system to race, we can start a test group to help accomplish that goal. And maybe with rumored new DJI tech coming in the next year we will be positioned and prepared to make a seamless transition.
Here is the schedule for the coming months. We added a race to the end of January. New year, so time to get back to two races a month!

Also, as some of you may have noticed, we will be hosting the MultiGP Mayhem from Dawn to Dusk April 10/11, which is the biggest team event in the United States! So you might want to give Shannon Broussard a follow if you’re not already, cause he’ll be running the show! And like we said it’s a team thing so better gather your friends.
